How is the BikeErg different from an air bike?

An air bike (fan bike) has moving arms and a fan you cannot coast on. The BikeErg is legs only, freewheels like a road bike, uses a quiet belt drive, and has a full bike fit with standard saddle and pedals. Choose the BikeErg for cycling specific training and quieter floors; choose an air bike for arms and legs together.

How much floor space does it need?

Allow 1220 mm long by 610 mm wide, with 1270 mm of height at the handlebars. Leave room beside it to mount and dismount.

Does it need power?

No. The PM5 runs on two D cell batteries and the flywheel charges them while you ride.

Can I use my own pedals and saddle?

Yes. The BikeErg uses a standard seat post, saddle rails and pedal thread, so clip in pedals and a road saddle fit straight on.

Does it work with Zwift?

Yes. The PM5 broadcasts power and cadence over Bluetooth and ANT+, so it pairs with Zwift, ErgData and most training apps.

What is the warranty?

Concept2 covers the frame for 5 years and all other parts, including the PM5 monitor, for 2 years. Warranty is handled in Australia through Concept2 Australia and our team.
