Primal Performance Series Plate Loaded Incline Pec Fly
The Primal Performance Series Plate Loaded Incline Pec Fly is an upper chest machine with an inclined path and converging, independent arms, made for commercial gyms, PT studios and performance centres. It takes Olympic plates, up to 100 kg on each bullhorn, sits on a 1491 × 1624 mm footprint and stands 1110 mm tall.
Most chest machines hit the middle of the pec. This one is angled to put the upper chest to work, and because each arm moves on its own, a weaker side has to pull its weight.
Who it is for
- Commercial gyms that want a dedicated upper chest option in the plate loaded zone
- PT studios coaching physique clients who need more clavicular pec development
- Performance centres using unilateral work to balance left and right sides
- Beginners and experienced lifters alike, thanks to the adjustable seat and fixed, guided path
Key features
- Incline movement path aimed squarely at the upper chest
- Converging arms for a natural arc and a strong squeeze at the end of each rep
- Independent arm action for single arm sets and correcting imbalances
- Adjustable seat so users of different heights line up with the handles
- Heavy duty steel frame with reinforced pivot points for busy commercial floors
- Up to 100 kg per bullhorn, compatible with standard Olympic plates
Muscles worked and training uses
Working the chest on an incline shifts the load toward the upper fibres of the pec and brings the front shoulders in more than a flat movement.
- Primary: upper (clavicular) pectoralis major
- Secondary: front deltoids and triceps
- Upper chest specialisation blocks for physique and bodybuilding clients
- Single arm sets to find and fix a lagging side
- Pairing with a flat or decline chest machine to cover the full pec in one session

Frequently asked questions
What floor space does the Incline Pec Fly need?
The machine is 1491 mm long, 1624 mm wide and 1110 mm high. With roughly 600 mm of clearance on each side for plate loading and the arms, set aside a zone of about 2.7 × 2.8 m.
How much weight can it take?
It is plate loaded with Olympic plates and each bullhorn holds up to 100 kg. Plates are sold separately.
Is ceiling height a concern?
Not really. It is only 1110 mm tall and the arms travel up and forward in front of the user rather than overhead, so standard ceilings are fine.
What is covered by the warranty?
Primal Strength offers a full commercial use warranty of 5 years on the frame, 2 years on parts (labour not included) and 1 year on pads and wearables.
Do you deliver and install in Australia?
Yes. We ship Australia-wide from our Melbourne warehouse, with most metro deliveries 1 to 7 business days after dispatch. It weighs 137.5 kg packed, and some regional addresses need a freight quote. Ask for a delivery and installation quote through the Ask about this machine form on this page.
Can I train one arm at a time?
Yes. The arms work independently, so you can do single arm sets or alternate sides, which helps even out strength differences.
Want the whole chest covered? Pair the Incline Pec Fly with the Primal Plate Loaded Pec Fly and a horizontal chest press.
