The Primal Performance Series Flat Olympic Bench is a commercial barbell bench press station with built in uprights, J-hooks at two heights and 4 plate storage horns, rated to a 350 kg max user weight. Set up, it measures 1549 × 1897 mm and 1288 mm high; the width is greater than the length because the uprights and plate horns sit out either side of the bench.

Having the rack, bench and plate storage in one frame means members can load, press and rerack without walking to a separate plate tree, which keeps the bench area tidy and safer on a busy floor.

How much floor space does the Flat Olympic Bench need?

It is 1549 mm long, 1897 mm wide and 1288 mm high. The width comes from the uprights and plate horns on each side. Allow about 600 mm of clear space all round for loading plates and walking past, which makes a zone of roughly 2.8 × 3.1 m. Remember a standard 2.2 m Olympic bar also needs room at each end.

How is it loaded?

There is no weight stack. Users rack a 50 mm Olympic barbell on the J-hooks and load it with Olympic plates, which can be stored on the 4 bullhorns. Bars and plates are not included. Primal rates the bench to a 350 kg max user weight.

What ceiling height does it need?

The frame is 1288 mm tall and the lift is pressed from a lying position, so a standard 2.4 m ceiling is plenty.

What is the warranty?

Primal Strength offers a full commercial use warranty: 5 years on the frame, 3 years on parts (parts only) and 1 year on pads and upholstery.

The J-hooks at two heights help with unracking and reracking, but there are no spotter arms listed for this bench. For heavy sets near failure, use a spotter or collars and choose loads with a safety margin.
